Geomatics


Geomatics is one of the faster growing technology sectors, changes our perceptions of problems and solutions, working culture, education and even our lives. CMPDI has established a full-fledged Geomatics division for synergizing multi-discipline expertise in the fields of satellite and airborne remote sensing, digital image processing, GIS, terrain mapping, terrestrial and mine survey, GPS and digital cartography.


CMPDI has an experienced Geomatics professional group of multidisciplinary team of more than 45 scientists forms the core manpower having rich experience in the disciplines of Remote Sensing & GIS, Survey & Photogrammetry, Geology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Digital Image Processing.

Geomatics Division is equipped with state-of-art hardware and software facilities in a networked environment for data input, analysis, design and display with all required peripherals like scanner, plotters, printers, digitizers & other back up devices. The set-up comprises of the following:


  • Remote Sensing & GIS: Geomatica, SPAN Explorer, Arc-Info MapInfo Professional, Auto CAD Map
  • Survey & GPS: ETS, (Leica - TC 1500, Leica - TCA 1102,TCR 1103, Nikkon DTM 750, etc.) GPS System (Leica - CR-344, SR 9500 with Single & Dual frequency geodetic receiver, Leica GS 5+, GPS personal Navigator) Gyro Thedolite and Softwares viz. RTKS, LISCAD Plus, SPCS, Datum & Map, Surpac, Surfer, Minex
  • Data Conversion: Large format Scanner & Digitizer, CADD softwares & Raster to Vector Conversion Software
  • Data Communication: LAN for 200 Clients with Intranet of CMPDI and 128 Kbps leased line for Internet connection
  • Other Support Facilities: DeskJet 2500C Color Plotters, LaserJet 4550 Color Printer and other cartographic equipments
